Winter break spent chasing big bull reds from the bow of a flats boat.
Meet in New Orleans on December 26th and spend three full days chasing bull reds with local captains. Space is limited to 8 anglers, with two anglers per boat. Winter in LA is the best time to target these big aggressive fish in shallow water, but conditions can be challenging! Participants should come ready to brave the cold and wind. Get that double haul ready! At night we will enjoy big dinners in our fishing lodge. After three full days on the flats boats, we will cap it all off with a big cajun seafood boil. On December 30th we will head home, recharged to take on the new year.

We are working on a complete packing list for a successful and comfortable expedition. Here are some things to think about. We will be staying in a comfortable house, but the weather can be cold and rainy. Therefore, you should plan to pack rubber fishing bibs, a good rain jacket, lots of layers, some gloves, a warm hat, etc. Fishing-wise, our guides have just about everything we will need, including rods, reels, flies, etc., but if you want to bring your own 8-10 weight rods with a floating line will do the trick.
